B-25 Mitchell Tribute - Stainless Steel, Brush Finish, Black Leather Band
Sold Out$497.00
This classic aviator design uses a precision Swiss made chronograph with a Super Luminova dial protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The case back displays original airframe material from North American B-25 Mitchell SN#44-30734. This design is limited to 1945 units in honor of the year of this aircraft's production. The rugged B-25 Mitchell flew for the Allied air forces in every theater of WWII and beyond. It gained fame as the bomber used in the epic April 1942 "Doolittle Raid" to bomb Tokyo in response to the Pearl Harbor attack. This aircraft survives and remains in flying condition to this day. Thanks to the dedication and support of the Delaware Aviation Museum, this B-25 flying under the name "Panchito", can still be seen gracing the skies at airshows around the country.

This was purchased for my grandson. I have apparently been a bad influence buying him planes and memorabilia. He earned his private license in his senior year of high school, He received his instrument rating and commercial license in community college. He flew for awhile in Alaska and then 10 years for Republic Airlines. Embryair 190. He is currently flying an Airbus for Alaska Airlines. He told me he is taking a B-25 ground school locally, hence the watch and he has 1.0 hours time logged into a P-51. So this watch is for his birthday in March. Thank you for allowing me to continue spoiling my grandson.

I am quite pleased with my watch. It reminds me of my father who flew a B-25 during WWII.
